Creativity has power. It has magic.
It gives hope.
Artist Camille Davidson raised her four children in Brunswick and then recently shifted her life to the small village of Readfield. In 2019 she opened a small community gallery downtown where all the money from sales goes directly to the artists. The Gallery holds monthly art exhibitions highlighting Maine artists from emerging artists to mid-career.
Camille welcomes in local musicians for artist receptions as well as concerts and in the winter holds community lunch and learns. During the pandemic ‘The Gallery’ continued on line with monthly shows, concerts and talks.
Camille is also a full-time artist painting from her unique tree house studio over-looking her neighbors woods where she has a view into the forest and the cycle of seasons in Maine. In the summer you can find her in her kayak painting waterlilies and the bouncing light off the lake.
Camille is a graduate of MECA with honors in painting and a recipient of The Florence Lief scholarship awarded to “The most promising female painter.” She has exhibited all over the U.S., as well as internationally.
